Show me so I can understand

Maybe it’s social media, or the vast amount of content and the speed of the internet, or maybe it’s the evolution of the human mind … but the reality is that people want to be shown rather than discover something themselves. Taking time to read information on a subject, analyzing the facts and coming to a conclusion on a subject is not something we, as consumers, want to do. The trend towards visual is inescapable! When scanning our social channels for the latest updates on our beloved brands and businesses, we want to be shown a simple, easy-to-grasp message that we can either like, engage with, or disregard altogether. Maybe, just maybe, if the message leave us wanting more indepth information we will click the link to get more. Everything that we see out there is now about pictures and video. Photo’s are likes 2x more that text. An average of 94% more total views are attracted by content containing compelling images. 43% of users ages 24-32 use social network as their go-to internet discovery resource.  These are compelling statistics!

So now when you view your customer, remember that they do not want to read text, they want to look at pictures, and even with that, they want compelling pictures that speak to them quickly, precisely and conveys a message so they can quickly understand.

And now after all this text and information, are you still listening? Maybe you are or maybe not, but remember you got to this blog post because you clicked the visual with the quote “Show me so I can understand”
